My Dream Come True
The word “Imvelaphi” is derived form the Xhosa language. Imvelaphi means your path or the route you travel to reach your destination. I am an African, born and bred. My love for nature, animals and the great outdoors grew stronger over the years spent living in picturesque South Africa. It was during a flight home from England that I noticed the colours of the South African flag on the wing of the airplane I was traveling in. I realized then that I would like to share my passion with the rest of the world.
My love for Africa, it's people and natural wonders. My African dream was born.
“You have made known to me the path of life, You will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasure at your right hand.” As a registered and qualified Field Guide (Nature Site guide), I specialize in guided safaris. I am registered with the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEAT), the Field Guide Association of South Africa (FGASA) and the Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism. You can visit the Tourism website at www.nmbt.co.za.
During 2003/2004, I was awarded 4th place in the Eastern Cape for best emerging tour guide under the auspices of the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism. At the 2007 Welcome Award Competition, I was chosen as 1 of 3 in the Eastern Cape for the Best Tourist Guide.
We all have a dream. The dream that will bring a deeper meaning to our lives, and I realised that the time has come for me to pursue mine. Come join me on a guided Safari through some of the most beautiful parks in the Eastern Cape.

Community Projects
At Thomas Bains Nature Reserve, I assisted with the wildlife conservation education of school children. Outdoor activities helped the children to appreciate and understand the concept of nature conservation. They had a better understanding of the need to love and look after our South African heritage.
Weed buster week, was an opportunity to educate the disadvantage community, on which plants are weeds they should not plant. Brochures and examples of these weeds were displayed and questions could be asked. I assisted Nature Conservation in Grahamstown under the instructions of Mr Quintus Hahndiek, District Manager and Reserve Manager of Thomas Baines Nature Reserve at that time. I also assisted with spraying of weeds in the rest camp area of the reserve.

The disabled residents of Cheshire Home in Port Elizabeth, enjoyed the day trips to Addo Elephant Natinal Park. During these day trips, I worked together with the residents committee t have a full-time nurse on board and their special modified vehicle, which I drove to the parks. This experience was very rewarding and helped me to understand the blessings of a healthy body. I had feedback from some of the residents on how to embark on the next day trip with them. I implemented their suggestions. And we were on the road again.
A Time to Learn
Through the Nature College I did my Field Guiding (Game Ranger) training, conducted by the owner, Johan Fourie.
